Use of biomaterial as vehicle parts for operation in winter terrain – step 1

The project aims to replace CO2-generating vehicle parts on snowmobiles, as many as possible, with 100% bio-based alternatives.

This joint study will answer whether the material technology that Papershell offer can be used for this purpose and which parts the snowmobile producer Vidde can replace.

The goal is not only to look at component replacement from a strength perspective, but also to evaluate system effects with a focus on sound performance and energy efficiency. This in the context of the challenging environment a snowmobile operates in.

Participants

RISE AB, Vidde Snow Mobility AB, Papershell AB and Pimm AB.

Budget

The project’s budget is 1 MSEK and the project runs during 6 months, between November 2022 and April 2023.
