Sustainable smart Tooling: Upcycling waste cellulose fiber for Circular Auto Manufacturing – step 1

This project contributes to a bio-based social economy by utilizing residual products from waste cellulose fiber for a more energy-efficient and flexible car manufacturing. The goal is also to introduce an innovative bio-based circular business model that promotes sustainable recycling in both the packaging and automotive industries.

A consortium unites Stora Enso AB, biobased packaging manufacturer which responsible for waste cellulose fiber solutions; and Ecoist AB, an environmentally conscious electric car manufacturer, together with RISE AB. To impact the Swedish packaging and automotive industry. The project also expects greater impact in the next step by scaling up circular bio-based tooling solutions and collaborating with market-leading players in the automotive industry with zero-emission visions. This aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: 12.5, 9.4 and12.8
