The project ran between May 2021 and June 2023.
The project is about impregnating wood material with bio-based oil for outdoor use in challenging implementations. The project spans areas of use from infrastructure to public decoration where traditional pressure impregnation with toxic (creosote or copper-based) substances is used almost exclusively today. As restrictions are hardening regarding the use of such substances, the project addresses a need for biocide-free, renewable and durable material alternatives for the mentioned areas of use.
