The project ran between October 2019 and November 2021.
The goal of the project has been to develop a sustainable cellulose-based material that can replace today’s fossil-based EPS.
The pandemic has partly affected the schedule, but factory tests in a real environment have been able to be performed and lessons learned regarding processability have been obtained.
The project have produced demonstrators, clarified the process for scaling up material production and involved customers for future introduction and evaluation. The have moreover produced a roadmap to achieve a fully commercially viable application.
The project is estimated to have reached TRL 6.

The project’s total budget was 9,2 MSEK.
