Bio-based composite filters for small-scale water purification units – step 1

This project aims to test a composite material based on clay and nanocellulose for filtration of drinking water. The idea is based on well-established research that has shown the possibility of easily adjusting the material composition. The project aims to develop filters in this way and test the feasibility of these filters for small volumes of water using existing test beds for water filters (created a few years ago via a VINNOVA project). If the stability and performance are acceptable, further studies will be undertaken to develop a commercial product.
