The project ran between October 2024 and June 2025.
In the project, the project partners have further developed recipes to qualify for recycling in the paper stream. The products were evaluated for pilot-scale granulation, in full-scale molding equipment at the EPS factory in Lindesberg, and regarding recycling at Fiskeby Bruk. The project partners have now learned what is required for our products to be recyclable in the paper stream and have a clear plan for how we will get there. This is a very important step for acceptance and for the development of the business.
The project partners are in the starting blocks to take the leap into reality and build a production line in Lindesberg and evaluate the first products with customers. In the long run, the project partners hope to offer biobased, biodegradable alternatives to Styrofoam, which can be recycled in the paper stream. The business will target global markets within the packaging and construction segments. The project partners hope to drastically reduce plastic littering and CO2-emissions and are building a new market for paper pulp, including recycled pulp.
