The project ran between November 2022 and May 2023.
Magnetic activated carbon (MAC) is produced from biomass waste, and a bench processing unit for MAC was developed for water treatment use. This project planned to design, manufacture, and test a pilot processing unit, with magnetic separation continuous water treatment. The validation of such a unit would enable a precise calculation of the carbon footprint, determine the competing merits and market opportunity of MAC.
