CBE JU Launches 2026 Call for Circular Bio‑Based Solutions

The CBE JU 2026 call for project proposals is now open, supporting the development and scale‑up of competitive circular bio‑based industries in Europe. It covers the full innovation chain, from research and innovation to industrial deployment.

Aligned with CBE JU’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, the call contributes to the European Commission’s framework for a competitive and sustainable EU bioeconomy. It reflects the growing importance of biotechnology, biomanufacturing and circular value chains in strengthening industrial resilience, reducing fossil dependency and enhancing competitiveness.

The call features 13 topics supporting CBE JU priorities, including accelerating innovation, boosting market uptake of bio‑based solutions and ensuring high environmental performance of bio‑based industrial systems. Projects can be submitted as Innovation Actions, Research and Innovation Actions or Coordination and Support Actions, helping bring bio‑based innovation from lab to industrial scale.
