The project aims to develop bio-based chemicals for the wood industry that can replace fossil-produced equivalents. The goal in step 1 is to investigate the possibility of developing green wood preservatives and adhesive components. The main compound will be pyrolysis oil from a commercial plant and new possibilities will be analysed using laboratory tests. Should the project proceed to step 2, the first results will be validated by a demand-driven development of commercial chemicals.
